IAIN NISBET (ORGANIST & DIRECTOR OF MUSIC)
As a boy, Iain was a Chorister at St George's Chapel, Windsor. Subsequently, whilst studying for a degree in engineering, he was a Choral Scholar at New College, Oxford. Following university, he was for 17 years Deputy Organist at St James's, Weybridge. He also held various posts on the committee of the Royal School of Church Music (RSCM) in the Guildford Diocese, leading the introduction of the RSCM's new chorister awards scheme, and ultimately becoming Acting Chairman. For his service to the RSCM, he was awarded a Certificate of Special Service in 2003 and Honorary Membership in 2009, and he has recently been re-appointed to the RSCM Guildford Area Committee. Iain also sings with a number of ad hoc choirs, having sung in most of the cathedrals of England, and some on the Continent. In his working life, Iain is a specialist chartered electronics engineer.
Iain was previously Joint Organist at All Saints, and became Organist & Director of Music in August 2013.
