SMALL SAINTS - THEMES AND PROGRAMME FOR 2008
The Small Saints service is held in All Saints Church, on the first Tuesday of every month at 2pm. The service is lead by Alison Collins and Melissa Pugsley and lasts an hour (including coffee and time for a chat at the end)! Both Alison and Melissa have young children who have attended and loved Small Saints as part of their formative years.
Parents/Carers and children gather together by the Altar where we conduct a lively ‘Service’ including hymns accompanied by the children playing instruments whilst marching around the church! Each month we have a Bible based story which could take the form of pure storytelling or everyone getting up and acting out parts of the story together. The aim of the service is to introduce small children to the church itself, the act of prayer and the concept of God being alive and with us all every day in all the fun things we do.
Our intention and priority is that children and adults feel comfortable and welcomed into All Saints and the community. It is an ideal opportunity for parents/carers to gather and chat over a coffee, children to play and interact whilst feeling at home and confident within a church setting.
We welcome anyone who would like to join us be it once or on a regular basis, and appreciate your feedback and input regarding the programme itself, time or day that the service is held.
Small Saints could be a gentle introduction for children and adults to All Saints, Witley or even for young children to then progress to the All Saints Sunday School.
